Harvey caught another blue marlin today. We raised a triple header and had bites from 2 but pulled the other off. This morning the dolphins and wahoos were pretty ferocious. Came in at 3:00 so the guys could fly home this afternoon with plenty of fish to eat- left us plenty to give the local dock guys as well. Fished a couple of short days with Paul, Casey, Rick and Frank- 2 white marlin and a decent wahoo yesterday and 1/3 blue marlin today with Paul landing his first ever, a good one at 300lbs or so. Adam caught his first blue marlin on fly tackle with us today here in Marina Cap Cana. We raised 3 whites as well but werent able to seitch them off the tease. Had Jerry and Mike coming for the weekend but the forecast looked bad enough that we decided to wait and reschedule. Had the boss in at Casa de Campo fished a couple days and golfed a couple days. Took David and froends one day- fairly uneventful with a bite per day for a couple days and no bites another day. A few mahis and a wahoo or 2 to wrap up our time at Casa de Campo. Had a fantastic time as always though our fishing was spotty. We are now in Cap Cana for the remainder of our trip. Had Adam from New York whos visiting for a week and wanted to try and catch his first marlin on fly. We had 3 whites that we raised, one teasing really well but fouled us up on the tease. Next 2 just didnt tease in close enough. At about 2:00 we raised a blue marlin, 225lbs or so that was good and hungry. Adam pulled the hook on him the first time and thankfully he followed the tease up again and Adam hung onto him the second time he piled on the fly. We had Mike and Jerry scheduled to fly in today to fish the weekend but decided to reschedule with the forecast looking bad. Had some bad luck with Jack and friends yesterday, breaking a leader on the first blue we hooked and then not connecting with the second. Beautiful day with great conditions. Marked a few that we didnt raise ; caught some nice mahis and jumped a bigger bull off. Oil change and cleanup today and the boss arrive stomorrow.
